Last week I photographed the first of an ongoing series of brown-bag sessions held by Renew Lehigh Valley (RenewLV) at the Baum School of Art in Allentown. The topic for this brown-bag session was traditional-neighborhood development (TND), an approach to community design that seeks to create mixed-used, walkable places. This session discussed what the cities and other communities in the Lehigh Valley are doing on this front, why TND is important for the region, and the challenges in implementing TND.
